A Weekend Brunch At ARC at Fairmont Waterfront Is a Must

If you love brunch, do yourself a service and visit the ARC at Fairmont Waterfront for weekend brunch.

RESTAURANT REVIEW: ARC, Fairmont Waterfront, Canada Place Way, Vancouver, BC

avocado toast brunch at ARC

An opportunity to taste a multitude of breakfast culinary genius by Chef Michael Pagnacco should not be passed up. In fact, it is something worth waiting for and making reservations for to ensure you get to enjoy this bottomless brunch.

Yup…bottomless.

What To Eat

With 17 different dishes on the menu, each item chosen arrives at your table perfectly plated for one to enjoy. Friendly smiles of the waiting staff are happy to explain and suggest dining light to heavy, in fact, the menu is organized in such a manner. I would peruse your options by ordering fresh warm buttermilk biscuits that come with honey butter meant to melt in your mouth while teasing you with tastes of sweetness from the honey and salt from the soft butter.

My favourite items ordered included avocado toast (nothing ordinary, the poached egg mixed with the perfectly seasoned avocado is not something that you will replicate), salmon benedict (eggs and salmon is a classic benny I never leave a Fairmont without having), liege waffles (this resembled apple pie in the morning without the pie), and the granola parfait (I could have had three, the beauty of it transcended in the taste of freshness through to the last spoonful). If you are able to, I would add the short rib poutine and the funnel cake.

What To Drink

I washed it down with the perfect cappuccino and a view of the waterfront.  However, the next time I visit, I will be enjoying a mimosa or two.

Ambiance

Perfection is the best way to sum up the experience at ARC. The restaurant itself is beautiful and bright, you feel very relaxed and welcomed. While you sit, you can enjoy the view of the waterfront or look around to be filled with quiet eloquence, in the most inviting way.

Choosing the bottomless option, in my opinion, is the way to go. You are given 17 different menu options to choose from and can have as much as you want. There are options ranging from something sweet, to savoury, to light to hearty. There is literally an option for all.

Yes, you can take the kids. However, my humble opinion is to get a sitter and enjoy the taste of each item carefully prepared while sipping hot coffee, or a mimosa.

There is no need to really mention that the staff is impeccable. My experience at any restaurant within a Fairmont is typically top-notch service that makes you feel you are carefully being tended to.

Yes. If you love brunch, I highly recommend to call and make a reservation and enjoy this brunch. Even a la carte, you will not be disappointed.

The ARC was listed as one of “My Faves” for 2020.
